Initial tests revealed the presence of asbestos in the building. So, asbestos contamination required full asbestos personal protective equipment, powered respirators and decontamination facilities. All materials removed from the building were decontaminated by water blasting. Contaminated water was collected and disposed of offsite.
Nikau was the contractor selected for the final stage of our project. It deals with the deconstruction of the six top hung boilers and boiler hall, followed by the construction of a new north wall to the turbine hall. No matter the odds, they did their job perfectly
During the project, I observed Al Nasr team took care of their health and safety responsibilities seriously. As a result audit reports gave us a high level of confidence that hazards were being managed in a proactive and effective manner.
